Booking procedure
A 30% down payment of the agreed amount is needed to reserve a specific Yacht for a specific date. When an advance payment is made by the client or the client’s representative, the booking intention is verified from the client’s perspective. The Client must provide the appropriate deposit slip to Gold Cruises Yachting Co. in order to notify them of such a payment. When the entire advance payment has cleared into Gold Cruises Yachting Co.’s account, the reservation is verified on that company’s end. Gold Cruises Yachting Co. will then confirm the reservation via email and send the client all the details, including the cruising date, the chartered yacht, the itinerary, any additional services needed, the deposit received, the balance due, and any necessary documentation if the payment is made via credit card.The balance shall be paid at least 14 days prior to the scheduled cruising date.
Payment Methods
• Bank Transfer : By choosing this method, the Client will be given SYachting’s bank account so as to proceed to the relevant transfer.
• Credit Card: If the payment is made via credit card, then the Client needs to fill in, sign and submit to
Gold Cruises Yachting Co. the relevant Authorization Form.
• E-commerce : The Client herself/himself can proceed to the payment by charging her/his credit card via the secure ecommerce environment of Bank of Greece. Subsequently, the Client shall receive a notification from the automatic Bank System for her/his transaction.
Crew List
The following information must be provided to Gold Cruises Yachting Co. on all passengers (name, surname, nationality, and passport number) who will be traveling on board: the complete information of the Charterer at least 24 hours before the scheduled sailing date, and the complete information of the remaining passengers to be present on board at least 6 hours before the sailing time. To compile and submit all necessary papers to the port authorities, you must have this information.
The Client must quickly notify Gold Cruises Yachting Co. of any changes to the crew list and no later than the start of the charter. The accuracy of the provided Crew list information is the Client’s responsibility.
Cancellation & Return Policy
Whatever the reason, if the client cancels the reserved Yacht charter, they are responsible for immediately notifying Gold Cruises Yachting Co. in writing or by email of the cancellation. If no cancellation notification is received the cancellation policy of Gold Cruises Yachting Co. will apply to the client. The full amount of the advance deposit is returned if the cancellation is made 31 days or earlier before the booking date.
The minimum sum to be charged to the Client for the cancellation is:
–If a reservation is canceled 29 days before the specified date, the total cost of the yacht charter will be reduced by 30%.
–100% of the total yacht charter rate if a reservation is cancelled within 14 prior to the reserved date.
–The same applies on non-shown up cases.
Gold Cruises Yachting Co. shall be liable to either recommend a new itinerary or propose a different date in the event that the charter of the reserved Yacht is canceled due to restrictions of the Greek Port Authorities in reference to the departure, due to inclement weather. The full cash collected by Gold Cruises Yachting Co. shall be returned to the Client if the rescheduling does not meet the wishes of the Client. The client may incur additional costs or losses as a result of the cancelled reservation, including but not limited to hotel fees, non-refundable transportation costs, lost wages, time, and enjoyment, as well as any other costs associated with the client’s cruise. Gold Cruises Yachting Co. is not liable for these additional costs or losses. Every law and restrictions of Greek Port Authority are applicable to every yacht’s category in reference to the departure according to the weather conditions.
Force Majeure
If Gold Cruises Yachting Co. is unable to fulfill its obligations due to a Force Majeure event, such as a weather change, earthquake, fire, flood, storm, hurricane, or other natural disaster, or an event that is not a natural disaster, such as war, invasion, foreign hostilities, civil war, revolution, terrorist activity, or government sanction, Gold Cruises Yachting Co. will not be held responsible. In such circumstances, Gold Cruises Yachting Co. is only required to repay the Client the whole sum received and is not responsible for paying any further damages.
Insurance
All Gold Cruises Yachting Co. yachts have normal commercial insurance. Damages to the client’s personal property and items brought to the boat are not covered by the insurance. Additionally, it does not cover any harm brought on by the client’s negligence or willful misconduct.
Inappropriate behavior
The Captain in charge of the trip will have the last say in all decisions, particularly those involving the safety and tranquil enjoyment of all passengers. By making a reservation with Gold Cruises Yachting Co., the Client commits to respect the Captain’s authority at all times and not interfere with him or foster unruly situations. The Captain may decide to end the cruise and the Client won’t be reimbursed if the Client’s actions, including but not limited to excessive alcohol consumption, loud or argumentative or abusive behavior, or political, sexual, religious, or racial slurs, are disrupting other passengers’ ability to enjoy the cruise in peace or endangering the safety of the crew or the captain.
The client will not be entitled to a refund or payment toward costs incurred as a result of such termination. The Client is required to at all times completely abide by the country’s laws, customs, and regulations. The trip may be terminated by Gold Cruises Yachting Co. if the client violates any law while on board, and the client will not be eligible for a refund or assistance with any associated charges.
Use of Media for promotional use
Clients and/or Gold Cruises Yachting Co. may capture pictures or films while a client is on a trip. Images of clients may appear in photos or videos that the client takes or sends to Gold Cruises Yachting Co. Under the condition of the client’s verbal consent, Gold Cruises Yachting Co. may use these images forever without payment of any kind. These photos and videos will be used solely for marketing and promotion of Gold Cruises Yachting Co.
Jurisdiction
All parties will make an effort to settle any disagreement amicably. If the parties are unable to agree upon anything, their issue will be heard by a court in Piraeus, Greece.
